Flashcard Maker is a flashcard maker skill for Claude: give it your notes, a chapter or a PDF, and it writes study cards that follow the rules spaced-repetition learners swear by, then hands them back in formats Anki and Quizlet import directly. You spend your time reviewing, not typing cards.
What makes a good flashcard?
Most bad cards fail in the same ways. They ask two things at once, they have more than one right answer, or they copy a whole paragraph onto the back. The skill avoids all three. Each card tests one fact. Each question is specific enough to have one answer. Definitions, steps and lists are broken into several small cards, or turned into cloze deletions where hiding one word works better than asking a question. Cards are written so you have to recall the answer, not recognise a familiar sentence.
Everything comes from your material. The skill doesn’t add facts from elsewhere, and if your notes leave something unclear, it flags that line instead of making up an answer.
How do you import flashcards into Anki or Quizlet?
You get a tab-separated file with three columns, front, back and tags, which Anki’s import screen reads directly. Cloze cards come in their own file for Anki’s cloze note type. For Quizlet, you get the same cards as term and definition pairs, one per line, ready to paste into the import box. A table version sits on top so you can check and edit the cards before importing.

FAQ
How many cards will it make?
As many as the material supports, one per fact. You can set a number, such as 30 cards from this chapter, and it picks the most important facts first.
Can it make cloze deletion cards?
Yes. It uses cloze cards where they help, for definitions, formulas and key terms, and writes them in Anki’s cloze format.
Can it quiz me?
Yes. Ask for a quiz and it writes a short set of questions from the same cards, with answers at the end so you can check yourself.
