This ml to oz converter turns milliliters into US fluid ounces as you type. Labels on drinks, cosmetics, medicine and baby bottles often print one unit large and the other small, or only one of them, and the converter fills in the missing number. It runs in your browser and spends no credits.
How many ounces are in a milliliter
One milliliter is about 0.0338 US fluid ounces. The US fluid ounce is exactly 29.5735295625 ml, so roughly 30 ml make an ounce. The ounce here measures volume, which is what a liquid label means by fl oz; it is not the ounce of weight used on a kitchen scale.
Ml to oz formula
Divide the milliliters by 29.5735:
fl oz = ml ÷ 29.5735295625
Dividing by 30 gets close: 330 ml ÷ 30 = 11, against an exact 11.1586 fl oz.

Worked example: carry-on liquids
Airport rules for carry-on liquids are often written as 100 ml in one place and 3.4 oz in another. 100 ml ÷ 29.5735 = 3.38 fl oz, so the 3.4 oz figure is 100 ml rounded up. A bottle labeled 3.4 fl oz holds 100.55 ml. Check the rules of the airport you fly from, since they are not the same everywhere.
US fluid ounce vs UK fluid ounce
The preset uses the US customary fluid ounce. The UK, or imperial, fluid ounce is smaller, 28.4130625 ml, so the same 500 ml bottle is 16.91 US fl oz but 17.60 UK fl oz. The difference is small on one bottle and adds up in larger recipes. The converter’s volume list is US customary apart from the UK gallon, so keep that in mind with British labels and recipes.
