This SVG to PNG converter turns svg to png in your browser, at the size you choose, so a logo or icon made as vector art becomes an image that any app can show. Drop your SVG files, pick 1x, 2x or 4x, and download the PNGs. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and it spends no credits.
Why convert SVG to PNG?
SVG is a vector format: shapes and paths described in code, sharp at any size. Browsers and design tools love it, but many places don’t. Word and PowerPoint in older versions, email signatures, social media profile uploads, app store listings, marketplace forms and plenty of CMS fields expect a regular image. A PNG of your logo or icon works in all of them and keeps a transparent background, which JPG can’t do.
What size will my PNG be?
You pick it. PNG is made of pixels, so the conversion has to decide how many. The Size option draws the SVG at 1x, 2x or 4x its own width and height:
- 1x matches the size written in the SVG file.
- 2x (the default) gives crisp results on high-density screens, like most phones and recent laptops.
- 4x suits print, large slides or anything you’ll scale down later.
Some SVGs have no width and height of their own, only a shape. Those are drawn at 300x150 pixels times the scale you choose, so 2x gives 600x300. If your PNG comes out smaller than you expected, that’s usually why: pick 4x, or add a width and height to the SVG.
Does SVG to PNG keep transparency?
Yes. Areas with no fill in the SVG stay transparent in the PNG, so the result sits cleanly on any background.
Why does my PNG look different from the SVG?
The SVG is drawn by your browser, so it looks the way the browser shows it. An SVG that links to outside fonts or images may render without them, because the tool works offline on your file alone.
Is it safe to convert SVG to PNG online?
With this tool the file never leaves your device. It is read and drawn on a canvas in your browser tab, then saved as PNG.
