Business Plan Writer

A skill for Claude that interviews you, then writes a lean business plan: market, go-to-market, unit economics and a 12-month table from your own numbers.

Added Oct 20, 2026

A business plan template tells you which sections to write; this skill writes them with you in Claude. It starts with a short interview about your business, then turns your answers into a lean plan you can read in ten minutes, with financials built from your own assumptions rather than from numbers that look good on a slide.

What should a business plan include?

A plan someone will actually read covers what you sell, to whom, why they will buy it, how they will hear about it, what it costs to deliver, and what happens to the money over the first year. The skill writes those sections in that order: executive summary, problem, customer, offer, market, competition, go-to-market, operations, team, financials, milestones and risks. Each section stays short. The executive summary is written last, from the finished plan, so it says what the plan says.

How do you write a business plan with no data yet?

You write it with the data you have and mark the rest. The skill never invents a market size, a growth rate or a competitor’s revenue. If you have a figure, it uses it and cites where you said it came from. If you don’t, the line says [SOURCE NEEDED], and the plan ends with a list of exactly what to research. That list is often the most useful part for a first-time founder.

The financial section works the same way. You give the price, the costs and your expected sales, and the skill builds unit economics and a 12-month table from them, with every assumption listed so a reader can check or change it.

One business plan template, three audiences

A bank wants to see repayment and collateral; an investor wants market size, growth and the team; your own team wants priorities and milestones. The skill keeps the facts the same and changes the emphasis and length for each reader.

FAQ

Does it make financial projections for me?

It calculates them from your assumptions: price, volume, costs and growth you provide. It doesn’t choose those numbers for you, and it shows every formula so you can adjust them.

How long is the finished plan?

A lean plan runs about four to eight pages. It can also produce a one-page summary.

Can I use it for an existing business?

Yes. Give it your real figures and it writes a plan for the next twelve months, for a loan, a new location or internal planning.
